Someday 04:39
sleeping on the couch without a thing to do get up and face the facts, you know you can make do go out, do all the things the doctor told you to perk up, but only when the phone call is from you feeling closed off been pushing away from all the friends that i've made been running around just trying to keep these bills paid i promise my friend that i will see you again someday someday seeking help that's there but i won't burden you just wait, think of all the times you have pulled through sunlight on the skin is sometimes all it takes go out and find a way to fix your past mistakes feeling closed off been pushing away from all the friends that i've made been running around just trying to keep these bills paid i promise my friend that i will see you again someday someday

about

2019 has been sort of a difficult year for me, and this EP is a collection of songs that were created as a form of self-preservation. This creative effort has been an attempt to grab this year by the horns and turn things around for the better.

This is the first thing I've done for myself in quite some time. I caught myself trying to please other people so much that I forgot to take care of myself for a while. This EP is a gift to you all, but more, it is a gift that I've owed to myself for a long time.

In these songs, there are themes of depression, rejection, financial instability and desperation. But in hard times, one doesn't give up. One looks inward and fights to pull themselves from the weeds. This short album is my first step in clawing my way back up to the top of 2019. You can't control everything that happens in your life, but you can damn sure change the way you choose to handle yourself. I am proud of the work I've done, and I hope you enjoy what you hear. Here's to fighting back whichever way you know how; here's to giving misfortune your strongest left hook; here's to the rest of the year and to the rest of our lives. May we conquer our own fears. Let's grab a beer sometime soon. *hang loose emoji*
